What’s on the agenda for March 27th – 31st? The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, that’s what.

You don’t have to be a head-over-heels plant lover or master green thumb to enjoy a day out at the biggest horticultural event in the Southern Hemisphere. Over five days at the end of this month, the Flower and Garden Show will feature jaw dropping floral installations, cutting-edge garden design, endless shopping and plants from across the globe.

Have a black thumb? Get some expert tips from the floral and gardening gurus on the main stage. Need help redesigning your backyard? See one of the many retailers share advice on the best tools, plants and designs for your garden. Want to be inspired? See the stellar line up of international designers showcasing their bold floral installations.

Enjoy a series of mindful, meditative gardens created by Beyond Blue; taste the floral-inspired high tea from Holland America; frolic with clucking chickens and sample delicious heirloom fruits with The Diggers Club; and enjoy a glass of wine, beer or Prosecco after work at the Gardens by Twilight.

The kids can look forward to a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-inspired indoor plant installation from the Plant Society, while you walk through the immersive floral-scapes at Carlton Gardens and marvel at the pop-up mini gardens. And yours truly – that’s Lamai Anne – will be upstairs in the retail section (site C55) – so if all the other wonderful mentions haven’t convinced you, hopefully this one will push you over the line.

Whether you’re looking to redo your entire garden or just spruce up your indoor space with some greenery, the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show is the place to be. Conveniently located at the Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens, this year’s show is set to be a lush interactive experience.
