With mornings getting cooler and sunsets happening sooner, what better way to welcome the new season than with a breath of fresh colour for your interior?

Dulux Kinship Palette

Autumn 2018 is all about greens, creams and boho dreams (not sure if that last one is a thing, but we will stick with it). Strong on natural hues, this season’s palette is rich in earthy tones and hints of muted green, as well as pops of vibrant red.

Leaf and Thread

You don’t need to do a complete 180 with your current interiors either – a subtle addition is all you need to create that warm and cosy vibe. Use existing natural elements – think warm timber, stone and linen – to bring in these richer autumn shades. However, it’s not as simple as pulling out your grandmother’s old herbarium. Although vintage can be a welcome addition, small touches of modern will really help bring this colour trend to life.

Kip & Co

“If you’re nervous about the idea of introducing deep colours to your space, you needn’t be. You’ll find that even a small amount of these richer hues against a white or neutral background, in the right spot, can make a big impact,” says Andrea Lucena-Orr, Dulux Colour Expert.

Lamai Anne Poppies Limited Edition Print

Introduce bold art, textured throws and natural materials to provide the perfect finishing touches; a handmade terracotta planter (our personal favourite is the Leaf & Thread) on your coffee table paired with a fresh piece of wall art such as our Poppies Limited Edition Print – the perfect combination of reddy-orange hues and autumn greens – can really bring this trend home. Throw in a couple of luxurious velvet cushions (Kip & Co's new range are to die for!) and all you’ll be missing is the tea and cookies.
